CHUFF AWARDS - Dec 2007
ATRQ is pleased to announce the winners of the December 2007 ATRQ Chuff Awards are Ian Thompson for the ‘Excellent Customer Service’ category and Phillip Turner for the ‘Behind the Scenes’ category.

Ian Thompson is a volunteer at the Australian Narrow Gauge Railway Museum Society (ANGRMS) in Woodford near Caboolture.  At ANGRMS Ian is involved in a number of customer service roles including Station Master and Guard on running days and regularly helps out with ANGRMS displays at public community events.  Ian is a great ambassador for the organisation and ensures customers have a positive experience when travelling on ANGRMS Durundur Railway.

Phillip Turner is a volunteer for the Australian Railway Historical Society, Queensland Division at the Rosewood Railway Museum west of Ipswich.  Phillip has been extensively involved in the restoration of the steam locomotives utilised to haul the popular tourist railway trains and the development of the Rosewood Railway Museum overhaul and maintenance workshop.

Phillips is an inspiration to others because of his involvement and dedication to the Rosewood Railway Museum since it’s inception in 1984.

Jim Taylor of the Darling Downs Historical Rail Society at Toowoomba was also recognised with a ‘Special Mention’ certificate.
