06.22 this morning there was no bloody loco in Botany goods yard and nearby loco siding.
Surely got to be a first in many years.

Where have the 73s got to nowdays?

73s were last seen lurking in the south back roads at PPL sidings in Botny, looking in a very unused way, lah.

Ahhh thanks dude. Had a brief look while MrX was driving the other day and couldn't see them.
Thus I jumped to the, obviously wrong, conclusion that they may have met with foul play.

Spent two hours with Raichase (Trent) around East Botany on Saturday and saw the following.

10 pedestrians
One extremely huge dog - bordering on horse.
A large amount of cars and a couple of buses.

All in all it was a good time to have a chat about the good ol days when trains used to run.

Another one of those unidentified dark shots in a GL class around 04.30 this morning at Botany.

I did manage to see 4420 at Botany around lunch though, however this was a taxi and not the Dorrigo locomotive :-(

Found a few old shots of the last train on the former Belmont line.
Last train at Jewels platform.
Last train takes to the branch at Admastown
4403 has recently been restored in, yawwwwwn, yet again, its original indian red livery.
Thus again proving a disappointment for those of us who remember that they carried different liveries.
Here she be in her candy days.
