"Silverwater" stop/siding on the Brisbane Valley Line. - BorallonRailMotor - 03-Feb-2017 Hi all, I am curious. I thought I knew all of the former stations/stops & even their former names...but upon visiting the Heritage House Museum at Yarraman yesterday, I came across a reference to, "Silverwater", which apparently was a wayward stop/siding north of Mt Hallen...can anybody provide me with any information with regards to this stop, as it's got intrigued! I believe, "Silverwater", was the name of the private property that the siding was near... I couldn't remember the whole 38M37C. Does anyone have any information about this 38M37C Silverwater siding/stop? At the Yarraman Heritage House Museum, it made mention of the siding being a loading point for the family that owned the property bordering it - I assumed, "Silverwater", was the name of their property perhaps? RE: "Silverwater" stop/siding on the Brisbane Valley Line. - BorallonRailMotor - 05-Feb-2017 *update* The 38M37C registered stop in the Brisbane Valley Railway Line timetables was for a, 'Chasewater', not, 'Silverwater'...although I have seen it referred to as Silverwater a couple of times. Chasewater was the name of the property on which the sawmill was based & it was a registered RM stop, apparently. Thanks to Neville Smith for providing this information to help get to the bottom of this mysterious recorded 'stop' along the BVL. |
