NZ Trip 2017 - Graham4405 - 24-Feb-2017

I'm in NZ at present. Our tour includes some rail components. Wednesday we rode the Glenbrook Vintage Railway. Our train was very ably pulled by Ww 644. A very impressive volunteer outfit.

Today, Friday 24/02/2017, sighted:
9233 + 9020 on a southbound mixed freight at Taihape.
Several Wellington suburban units.

In Auckand, saw 3 unidentified derelict steam locomotives.

Those locos could possibly be owned by my ex-boss. I was in NZ late last year. I didn't do too much train travel but I did have a tour around the Kiwirail train control centre in Wellington. I was surprised at the amount of traffic they had. I caught the train in Auckland a couple of stations out of town. The station on the apex of an angle seems weird to me.
