I'm guessing those 30 were spread across several different trains?, I can't see any loco regardless of where it is or how good it is hauling 30 wagons away all with handbrakes on.

They went back to Victoria from there with a rake of VHGF's that were used for working shuttles out of Parkes. The two XR's and that rake are now the Vic SG export rake.

R1001 is a heavier version of the WA L class but without Dynamic brake, its sister R1002 was sold to Westrail where it became LW276. Today it is LZ3120 having had dynamic brake fitted and weight taken...

As for the where is it no idea but was the road opened up under the 48'ers, was it just never set or did they split the catchpoints? Thats if you can mention it in this thread man.
