It must have been a fair cock-up of the brake system to NOT put the brakes on when something goes wrong. The one thing that was reiterated to us in the ECP school was 'if there's a fault in the system...

Xtrata's new loco XRN001 went through Gunnedah at 18:30 light engine with a GL on their way to Culgoora (Narrabri) for noise testing during the 3 day shutdown next week.

48103 came out of EDI Cardiff in the new scheme yesterday, then sent straight to Werris Creek for branchline duties. 48152, 48159 & 48162 are the next units to be painted.
