I don't see the reason why they have trouble finding sets. With the down turn in coal traffic they have a heap of hoppers stored around the place why not run them through the shops, sterilise them and...

I am thinking concrete sleepers from the Parkhurst company which I have forgot. They make the concrete sleepers for Aurizon and QR and do the same thing for loads that have to go elsewhere. Although i...

It would be smarter for QR to build on it. QR don't have to rely on Aurizon then. They could even put a Redbank style LMD on it or a smaller scale one on the site. Aurizon's maintenance contract is up...

Why not give it to the government and QR build a depot on it ? Be the best idea.

There is once weekly general freight (Cunnamulla and Quilpie) style train 6W46 and 6391. It runs Rockhampton - Winton - Rockhampton and picks up and drops off roadside goods as required and drops wago...

Cheers for that Sulla. Last I saw of her years ago it was a mix between cement, fuel and general freight like on 6W46/6391. So the interest would be there for Aurizon unlike the other services.
