In Melbourne, the fitting of the sandboxes was an easy task. The carriages already had the structure to fit them, they were just an optional extra at the time of purchase. Having a look at our B's her...

Got to go from memory here, haven't seen one for about nine months. The sanders were behind the trailing bogie on each end, one either side of the bogie. So for a three car train, there were four sand...

Here in Perth, we have A series that do a max of 110km/h, and B series that do 130km/h. Now the A series are fine at speeds up to 100km/h, but over that, and they really strain, resulting in motors dr...

It's hard enough getting two drivers in a cab, let alone strangers. Mind you, given your position, you might be able to call it a fact finding mission to put ATP on a certain line.

All exams passed, driving exams passed today, so I'm out on my own again. Yay, now I get to just drive, and not have to answer questions.

These trains are closely related to the B Series in Perth, and the B's have known issues with stopping in the wet. One has even slid for over two and a half kilometres, finally coming to a stop on the...

110km/h? Oh FFS, that's going to be slow going. Wy not just build to 160km/h and have capacity. It's like the Sunbury line in Melbourne. "Well trains can only go 115km/h, so we will build the overhead...

When I was in Bangkok in 2006, the skytrain used third rail for it's power connection. Has the rest of the lines been converted to overhead, or is that just used on the airport line?
