Strange visitor to Mortdale Maintenance Centre
#1
Some of you would be aware that I am a CityRail guard based at Waterfall depot. Meaning that I am frequently at Mortdale - too frequently, in fact >Sad But I digress.

During my crib this morning, I saw a very odd sight for Sector #1: a chopper headed into the sheds  - set C-11/C-13 to be precise.

WTF????

Regrettably, no - I was too stunned to think of doing such a logical thing, seeing such an illogical sight and all

Where can they land a chopper at Mortdale sheds? Wouldn't have thought there would be enough room for the rotors to clear.

Re the chopper in the above photo: apparently the story goes that the bloke bought it for $12K (de-engined & de-rotored) as a plaything for his son.

Apparently the son must have grown tired of it, because as of about 2mths ago, it's no longer there.
