Only three in storage I believe, being 2191F, 2192F and 2194F. They are the three stored at Cobarra. 2193F, 2196F and 2200F are still in service at this stage.

Not a good sign...8G16 has been a bit of a funeral train for NQ locos lately.

No need to go jumping to conclusions. 2200F was sent to Jilalan. Not sure what for exactly though.
Out of my mind. Back in 5 minutes.
Double Clydes were on 8273 this morning hauling a 2800 - I couldn't see the numbers. 2193F & 2189F were sighted heading LE out to Cobarra this afternoon.

They've been using a 2170F to two on the Mackay grain train recently by the sounds of it. I guess if it's visiting the wheel lathe it'll be around for a bit.

2189F & 2365 were in Mackay on the front of a grain train Monday morning facing South. 2387/2487H & 2808 (veh) were on 8273 this morning...it might of been 2198F going to Cobarra

Yeah, sounds like it was 2198F not 2193F going to Cobarra.

2189 will come to Redbank and go to QR LTD now. They should be picking up 2200F and a few of the good ones. 1724 is still stored in Rocky with major faults. A mate of mine was told to start it and attempt to take it to the diesel shed. She started all right (barely) nothing a new set of batteries couldn't fix though. But every fault light came on in the cab. So she is stuffed. QR will have their work cut out to make any use of her and be reliable. Be good spares though. Even the wheel slip light came on when she wasn't even moving. So a lot of work for the leckies plus a few minor mechanical problems to. One traction motor was blown as well among a few other things.

That will be where she will stay I reckon now until such time QR want it.

Townsville Jetty branch sightings 19/12/2014

Looks like it might be the 2170 Indian Summer in Townsville today...2196F/2170D working 8206 transfers and 2213D working the Southyard or Jetty shunt (not sure which one). Very unusual to see so many 2170s in action around Townsville since the sugar finished.
