1125hrs 2414 + 2471 (QR Locos) stationary at Yumborra (on Glenmorgan line on the outskirts of Dalby)

What was going on here I wonder?

Correct, Queensland Rail I believe.
Watch for more Aurizon Brookstead/Dalby grain & QR route tuition as they take over the running of mail and work trains west of the range from mid 2015

QR called for drivers in Roma a while back and Roma based Aurizon drivers have been driving the westlander so I reckon Roma based they will be.

That might explain the aurizon cars parked there. When i was there at night for the eastbound westie, two aurizon crew climbed into one of the cars and drove off.
