For some reason, 2214D and 2176D have escaped storage for the time being. Both are still working 9S88 / 9L99 services.

2214D is equipped with ATP1.

The latest Stuart power sheet has 2176D and 2214D listed as "loco to be stowed RKW 30/05." Their time is almost at an end.

Wilmar is currently upgrading the sugar loading sidings on the Carstairs Branch with concrete sleepers for the 2800 upgrade.

Most likely with ex.sugar 2170F's.

Came across a 2800 fitted out with the necessary sugar unloading radio equipment. Both cab ends fitted out.

I'm hearing 2214D went south as second loco on 8796 last night and 2176D is expected to go south tonight on 8796...it will be the last 'heavy' 2170 to leave Townsville in freight service.

27/5/15 Y796 with 2840 and vehicle 2214 heading south through Parana at 0805.

Crossed 8796 at Mookarra tonight. 2176D was second loco in the consist.

Does anyone know when the sugar season is to begin? 2194F (I think) has just trundled down the jetty line with a rake of VASO's. Have the 2170s been given a stay of execution for these duties?

EDIT: disregard, jumped the gun on this - has just gone back to south yard - appears the train was only being turned (why?).
