Howdee all,
I've heard that two of Scumbag and Simpleton's D class carked it on Railcorp working last night and had to be stowed around Sulphide.
Talk is that this was the last straw for Railcorp when it cums to S&S failures and that it is all over red rover with this work up north. Sadly this work was what hauled in much $$$$$$$$

Cheers
Sil V Rton

Well i brought 5192 through the worksite between Wyee and Wyong today at 1pm ish and a silverton loco, think 442 was on the ballast remover and cleaner so not sure. No D's spotted at Sulphide but there was at least 1 in Broadmeadow yard when i got on my train.

I should have more details overnight. There was no knowledge of what become of the locos after that went the bollocks.
Presumably the Broady one was one of those that failed.

OK, excessive Tanduay abuse lead to my forgetting a very important part, this being B76s utilization to rescue the Ds and drag their sorry buttocks back to Broadmeadow which explains their being there.
NOW
Apparently they must have located some sticky tape as one of the Ds has been made serviceable again, well enough to get it moving anyway.
It is believed another loco is planned to be sourced for these workings.

Amazing what one can do with some sticky tape and a handful of paddle pop sticks! They might go upmarket and use Blue-Tac next time!

I will suggest it, but I am unsure whether or not it would fit into their maintenence budget.

Yes, well D47 and D49 made there way back to Broadmeadow with their sorry arse tails and colonel aboard. Apparently oils aren't oils as one of the D's was leaking oil onto the track.

Between D47 and D49, only 7 out of 12 traction motors are actually usefull!!!!

Way to go Scumbag's!!!

This leaking D is the one that has been got going.
The leaking oil was taking a diversionary route via the wheels before splattering its environmently friendly self all over the track.
Its a shame to see the good name with a proud history like Silverton dragged around like this, although the IRA seem to be particularly happy to see the an old, rather unflattering, nickname aimed in another direction now.
Perhaps we need a forum just for Scumbags mishaps and misadventures :-)
Anyway I hope they had better luck last night.
