It's not a station I would normally associate with this type of train, but is this a hint that it might be Warrawee?
Erm, no it isn't. Not the way I meant the hint - though I see where you're coming from, franfran - so not Warrawee.

What I meant was where it is as regards what part of a railway location.

Not Scarborough either.

Spadge's instincts are quite good Wink

Otford?
Not Otford.

And to sharpen a clue, not actually at a station, per se.

Mortdale Car Sidings?
You've read my clue correctly, franfran - but the siding in question is not at Mortdale. AFAIK V-sets have never ventured into MMC; their MC is strictly Flemo.

Need to go further down the line....

Brownsville?

Recap time.

It isn't:
  • Waterfall
  • Springwood
  • Leura
  • Dapto
  • Kogarah
  • Unanderra
  • Mount Druitt
  • Kingswood
  • Ted Bullpitt's house
  • Oak Flats
  • Corrimal
  • Dunmore
  • Warrawee
  • Scarborough
  • Otford
  • Mortdale Car Sidings (MMC)
  • Brownsville
It's definitely a V-set, it's in a siding, most guesses have been on the right line, some of those on the right part of that line - and in that respect Spadge's instincts are close to, if not on, the money - yet.

Need any more clues?

Can only think that it is somewhere on the short Illawarra, so I am going Bullllll, no, Thirroul

Not Throooool - or Bullllllllleye either.

Clue: V-sets are regularly (every weekday) found in this siding, but generally only once.

Presumably a service that turns back in a location normally only turned back once a day.
However can't be East Hills (why do they bother with one East Hills terminator?) and I am fairly ignorant of timetables on the Illawarra nowdays.

Hmmmmm Coal Cliff
