Setting Off for Redbank
20 Road, Ipswich Workshops
08.45 AM, Thu 7 Nov 2013

The Plan is for a 'Cosmetic Restoration' at Redbank.

Here's sincerely hoping the project has been funded sufficiently to allow the Paint Shop at Redbank to complete a 'Museum Standard' Finish approaching the Superb Standard of the preparation and painting of English Electric Class Leader 1620, which Redbank Paint Shop had completed some years ago.

On return to Ipswich Workshops, the current plan is to swop Museum Roles with English Electric 1281, displaying CENTENNIAL-Plated 1461 in its stead.

This will allow CENTURY-Plated 1281 to be removed from Museum display, and returned to the Ipswich Workshops for Mechanical Overhaul, and a widened Heritage Role.

It works for me. A running Golden Holden wouldn't be bad either, but I'm not going to be greedy :-)
