captured so well of the Scene.
Great to see the Images, and Some Differing Styles of Photography. (Very Refreshing!)
Thank-you for Sharing Them.

Did have a Chance to Catch a few Glimpses of the Superb Handiwork of the Redbank Workshops Staff Once 1461 was Safely Stowed Back Beneath the Saw-Toothed Framework of the Ipswich Railway Workshops about a Month Later (Glimpses Only Beneath a Heavily Protective Shroud of Plastic, Designed to Safeguard the Paint Finish 'Til the Locomotive is Transferred to Take the Place of English Electric 1281 Within the Queensland Museum [Ipswich])...Hopefully That May Lead to Another Separate StoryBoard Covering 1281's Restored and Widened Heritage Role.

Ironically of any loco in their fleet that's easiest to get going (GM parts availability over EE parts) and more reliable (than an EE).....this is the diesel that should be going....

Maybe the heritagtics like the smoke from EE's cause it reminds them of their precious steamers.... 😛
Home on the range.....

Have heard a suggestion that 1281 will apparently multi much better with 1620, which does make sense. But given some of the lower quality 1720's floating about still in some form of active service, I cant see how 1461 couldnt serve some low-mileage value adding task to help earn its keep. Anyway, I am grateful for the fact that there is at least some heritage diesel scene starting to happen, so wont push the envelope Smile
